Value Case Design and Validation

Before scaling an idea, let’s verify its value.

We turn an opportunity into a testable hypothesis. We define what to observe, with which users, and what evidence your company needs to decide.

For businesses in Colombia, Venezuela and global markets
The starting point

An interesting idea is not yet a justified investment.

A project may look attractive without addressing a priority need. We help formulate the expected benefit, identify critical assumptions and design proportionate validation before committing more resources.

Do any of these situations sound familiar?
  • 01
You have an initiative but no measurable benefit hypothesis.
  • 02
You need to compare alternatives before investing.
  • 03
You want to validate an MVP with real users and data.
What we can address

Scope connected to your needs.

An investment decision better supported by data, learning and explicit criteria.

01 /

Business hypothesis

Definition of the expected change in savings, revenue, efficiency or experience, as appropriate.

02 /

Validation design

Selection of users, data, metrics and conditions for testing assumptions.

03 /

MVP and learning

Early validation of a solution and analysis of the evidence gathered.

Extended service capabilities

What you can move forward with

Deliverables that guide the next step.

We define scope and deliverables before starting, according to your company’s context and priorities.

The following components are a reference for this service. The specific proposal defines activities, owners, investment and terms.
  1. 01

    Value case brief

Problem, beneficiaries, hypothesis and relevant assumptions.

  2. 02

    Validation plan

Baseline, metrics and criteria for interpreting results.

  3. 03

    Agreed test or MVP

A limited scope to test the hypothesis without building the entire project.

  4. 04

    Decision recommendation

Evidence to proceed with, adjust or stop the initiative.

An application scenario

Checking whether automating a task delivers a meaningful improvement.

Before automating an entire process, one stage can be tested with a group of users. We compare performance against a baseline and analyze the conditions needed to extend the solution.

What would be useful to observe

The metric tied to the hypothesis: time, errors, adoption, revenue or experience, as appropriate.

How we work

Business first. Then technology.

01 —

Formulate

We clarify the problem and hypothesis.

02 —

Design

We define the test and its metrics.

03 —

Compare

We collect evidence of use and outcomes.

04 —

Recommend

We document learning and the next decision.

Before getting started

Questions worth addressing.

Is it the same as Discovery?

No. Discovery helps understand and prioritize an opportunity. A value case focuses on testing a specific hypothesis against evidence.

Is software always built?

Not necessarily. The validation method depends on the assumption being tested. Where appropriate, a functional MVP is defined.

What happens if the hypothesis is not confirmed?

That is a useful result. We document what was learned and whether to adjust, explore another alternative or stop the investment.
